The advanced 3.0 litre turbo-diesel engine produces 140kW and an avalanche of torque on demand, with 450Nm available from just 1,600 through to 2,600rpm. This provides exceptional take-off and acceleration with a broad, flat torque band aiding overall driveability - also perfect for when carrying a load, or towing up to 3.5T+.

The Isuzu 4JJ3-TCX 3.0L turbo-diesel engine is famous for its durability, reliability and fuel economy. It's engineered to power you through your work week and is ready to take on the weekend - the Isuzu D-MAX & MU-X are outstanding performers.

1.9L ISUZU ENGINE POWER

The new Isuzu RZ4E-TC 1.9L turbo-diesel engine option introduced to the 4x2 Single Cab Chassis range provides supreme fuel efficiency and refined operation. Generating 110kW of power and 350Nm of torque, this new engine is the ideal match to the entry level D-MAX 4x2 Single Cab Chassis models. With 2.8T+ (manual) and 3.0T+ (auto) braked towing capacity, it offers a flexible and economical option that’s ideal for fleet, tradies and small business operators.

FUEL EFFICIENCY

Our engines have long been famous for their superior fuel economy. Cutting edge technologies found in the fuel system, turbocharger, gearbox and the vehicle aerodynamics are key contributors.

Many design secrets and cutting edge technologies contribute to the vehicle’s fuel efficiency. Our vehicle’s aerodynamic body designs have been extensively tested to ensure maximum aerodynamics and minimal drag.

The most important factor however, is the Isuzu turbo-diesel engine which uses Isuzu’s super high-pressure common rail fuel system as well as an advanced Variable Geometry System (VGS) turbo charger to develop maximum power while using minimum fuel. Plus, an intelligent 6-speed automatic gearbox ensures you’re always in the correct gear and saving fuel.
